Job Description

We are looking for a proactive Business Partner Finance to support the Ownership & Portfolio unit in Business Area (BA) Nordics. The position will be part of the Finance team in BA Nordics providing financial and strategical support to the Ownership & Portfolio unit. The business partner will create value by providing performance/financial support and analysis that will support in the management team’s decision making.

Business Area Nordics is responsible for providing clean energy to Statkraft’s Nordic markets. Statkraft is currently Europe’s largest producer of renewable energy based on a large fleet of operating assets across multiple technologies. In addition, we have high growth ambitions in renewable development within hydropower, onshore wind, solar, batteries and offshore wind.

The Ownership & Portfolio unit is responsible for managing the ownership of the partly owned Norwegian regional power companies (Skagerak Energi, Å Energi and Eviny), part-owned assets operated by others (e.g.Sira-Kvina and Kraftverkene in Orkla), Fosen Vind and Baltic cable. The unit is responsible for the portfolio strategy and management of the full Nordic asset portfolio, as well as liaison with Business Area Markets responsible for hedging- and energy management policies.

Responsibility and opportunities:

You will provide a wide range of financial and performance management support to the Ownership & Portfolio unit. That implies driving analysis and insight of the portfolio as well as being a trusted business advisor to the Ownership & Portfolio unit. The business partner will be an advisor for the management in all financial aspects, but also challenge and help improve performance.

Key deliveries include:

  • Take lead in driving analysis and preparing material to annual business planning, risk and performance management processes and quarterly business reviews
  • Follow up of cost and performance in non-operated assets, including maintaining projects and structures in systems and coordinate quarterly forecast updated
  • Develop and help maintain an overview of Statkraft’s Nordic portfolio, including assets in operation, partly owned assets, and development pipeline
  • Develop and perform regular strategical analysis of the portfolio, driving insight to Nordics management team
  • Financial modelling and investment analysis
  • Maintain SAP financial master data for unit, ensuring compliance with internal trade guidelines
  • Involved in Nordics portfolio strategy and prioritization from an owner’s perspective

Qualifications

Qualifications and capabilities:

We are looking for someone with:

  • Higher degree (preferably a Master’s degree) in economics, science, engineering, or similar
  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience from finance, accounting or investment analysis or transactions is an advantage
  • Experience from power industry or other large asset based industry is an advantage
  • Good working knowledge of SAP for financial master data follow-up an advantage
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken). Fluency in one of the Scandinavian languages is also an advantage
  • Strong communicator (orally and in written material) with the ability to engage the organization and collaborate well with stakeholders from different business areas and functions
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive mindset and attitude and a strong drive and desire to make an impact on Statkraft's business
  • Strategic and structured approach to challenges and tasks
  • High personal integrity and high ethical standards
