Crosstown Logistics LLC is looking for individuals who are interested about the freight industry by being a Dispatch Agent for the Spot Rate Market.
Position available are for independent contractors (1099) and commission based only, starting at a rate of 75%.

Responsibilities:
- Finding and securing viable Carriers for service,
- Coordinate and schedule transportation activities
- Track and manage shipments, operations, including routing, and driver assignments
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and carriers to ensure timely delivery of goods
-Negotiate Rates
- Perform data entry tasks to update shipment information in the system
- Monitor shipping and receiving activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any transportation-related issues
- Utilize phone systems to communicate with drivers and other team members
Requirements:
- Knowledge of fleet management principles and practices
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in the logistics industry or working with 3PL providers is preferred
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance is a plus
