Unit Secretary - Ambulatory Surgery Unit - Per Diem - Days
Provide compassionate patient focus and superior customer service - keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly. Coordinate appointments and perform general clerical duties at the unit nursing station to assure the timely, efficient and accurate flow of patient information. Welcome and direct visitors and hospital colleagues to appropriate areas. Page nurses and answer phones on your unit. Sign for important medical deliveries. Cultivate a courteous and respectful demeanor while multitasking between people and responsibilities.
This is a per diem position working approximately two (2) days/month 8:00am-4:00pm at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital (located in Cortlandt Manor, Upper Westchester County, NY). Must be available for vacation and holiday coverage.
Preferred Criteria
Experience in a healthcare environment
Extensive customer service experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Criteria
Computer skills
Strong communication skills.
Organizational, prioritization and assertiveness skills
